What vaccinations does my dog need before boarding or daycare?
Park9 requires all dogs to be current on rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough), and DHPP (distemper/parvo) vaccinations. Proof of vaccination from a licensed vet must be provided before your dog's first visit. They also strongly recommend the canine influenza vaccine, especially for frequent visitors.
How is overnight boarding different from daycare?
Daycare is a drop-off/pick-up service where dogs enjoy supervised group play during the day. Overnight boarding includes the daycare experience plus a private suite for sleeping, evening care, and individual attention from staff. Boarding dogs receive multiple walks, feedings on their usual schedule, and bedtime check-ins.
Is park9 suitable for all dog sizes and breeds?
Yes — Park9 welcomes dogs of all sizes and most breeds. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament during play sessions to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable. All new dogs go through a temperament evaluation on their first visit so staff can find the best group fit. Certain breed restrictions may apply based on local regulations.
What are the drop-off and pick-up hours?
Park9 is typically open for drop-off from 7 AM and pick-up until 7 PM, seven days a week — though hours may vary slightly by location. Boarding guests can be picked up at any point during business hours. It's recommended to check your specific location's hours or call ahead during holidays, as hours may differ.
How do I get started, and is there a trial or evaluation period?
New dogs start with a meet-and-greet or temperament evaluation, usually scheduled as a half-day trial. This helps staff assess how your dog interacts with other dogs and people. You can book this through the Park9 website or by calling your nearest location.
